Cabo Verde is a group of 10 islands in the Atlantic Ocean, round about 500 km far away from Senegal / Africa and 1.200 Km far away in south direction from the Canary Islands. The capital island is Santiago, the both touristic islands with an international airport are Boa Vista and Sal. The photos on this site are all from Boa Vista. Boa Vista is an small island with an area of 30 x 30 km. But here you can visit and see many different landscapes - beautiful beaches, dunes, volcano mountains, deserts and small villages with their friendly people. The most popular tourist area on Boa Vista is the west-coast. This area offers comfortable hotels and very long marvellous beaches. For people which love some activities Boa Vista is a brilliant island, because here you can make a lot of small sightseeing tours with local provider.
The island of Sal is different. It seems here you can relax only near by your hotel in the south part of the island. On this island you will not find many sightseing tours or other travel activities.
